Continue to support the objectives from IT System Engineer (below) and additionally manage external consultants and contractors to expand technology deployments across sites throughout the midwestern and southeastern United States. Assess new locations through site visits, then design, coordinate, and implement hardware solutions to support business systems and applications.

Lead project-based initiatives to replace legacy systems with scalable and redundant technologies to support business growth. Work to determine project requirements, assess market solutions, and collaborate with vendors to design, test, and deploy technologies. Projects often last 6-18 months and cover a wide breadth including hyperconverged infrastructure, networking overlay and SDWAN technologies, handheld and mobile computing, and ruggedized industrial edge devices for use on the production floor.

Manage a part-time technology business with a team of three. Originally specializing in 3D printing and enterprise rackmount equipment resale, the business more recently focuses on IT services for local SMBs, including desktop and server sales, and enterprise networking consulting.

Lead network design and implementation, improve system reliability, collaborate with technology solution providers, translate business strategy into IT solutions, configure and install servers, and ensure business-continuity. Also serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external solution providers to support ongoing integration efforts between e-commerce, ERP, and analytics platforms.
